Host them on Google Docs and provide a link. That or make a PDF out of it.

Now, is my value weak? I actually don't think so, but the reason why requires a bit of explanation. The original version of the official C&C system was a generous application of handwavium. In essence Steve picked a number he liked, so long as it fit Gary's recommendation to not dole out too much XP. The problem was that while many of our CKs had years worth of experience and pretty much used handwavium anyway, the inexperienced CKs would try to use the table in the book, calculate XPs and find out that the numbers didn't match. They would wonder why.

The update to the official system simply codifies things and uses the table. The experienced CKs aren't going to care one bit about this as they'll simply continue using their supplies of handwavium, and the change was never meant for them. It's the new guys that would benefit.

So, to actually answer the question, the value I don't consider weak due to an oddity I encountered in actually computing the values for all the monsters in Monsters & Treasure. In most cases, every monster I found was undervalued was offset by a monster that was overvalued. So even though the numbers weren't figured out beforehand, the Trolls still ended up adhering to Gary's advice. In short, no matter how it's figured, whether by the book, by your system or even by throwing darts at a dartboard, everything balances out in the end.

  ... handwavium ...  ....

& that solves my question a few months back about exp if not using treasure exp

Now the question is, where can I buy some of the mythical substance, or should I hope I've been good enough over the year of Ole Saint Nick to bring me an ample supply - maybe replace my normal coal and switches in the stocking with that for once !

Serl

Nice revival on your tradition and nice little critter.

The warbling, use forks, head bobs, intimidate ... NICE

Having spent hours setting in the cool wet spring woods trying to get one to come in for me, I'd add overly cautious (except when in the throws of said warbling)

You'd better be a good boy, or else Santa won't bring you any. By the way, there are different flavors of handwavium. The type the Trolls used for the original monster XP values was classic Dr. Pepper flavored. That stuff, while common, is highly prized and almost godlike in its taste. The small amount of handwavium I have on hand is pretty scarce however. Mello Yello flavored. ;)

Link to other method. Only leaving it here for "posterity."

How much XP you award is up to you. In your case you don't award XP for treasure and have compensated for it by increasing the base value of the XP award. That's perfectly fine and I have no problem with it. My providing "by the book" XP values doesn't mean I object to how you choose to award XP, so please don't try to read too much into it. The only reason I provide "by the book" values is as a benefit for new CKs who may come across yours or others creations on this forum or Knights of the Crusade for the first time. It's actually been beneficial too. On the forums here there is a thread where one of our users ported the Despicable Me Minion to C&C. The post ended up being a lesson in how I calculated the XP values for the creatures in both Monsters & Treasure and Monsters & Treasure of Aihrde.

By the book I wouldn't be able to declare immunities or resistances as a type III special, since the type III special is limited to death attacks and spells/spell-like effects of 8th or 9th level. But that's by the book: You having resistance or immunity qualify as a type III is just as valid. I'm not trying to tell you how to play the game, as that would be contrary to one of the stated goals of the Trolls regarding this game. :)

Merry Xmas.
