The wolverine is something that is feared by hunters, but I'm unaware of a badger being able to take down a wolverine! I wish you could reverse the stats on the two creatures.

AGNKim, that's a honey badger, and it does seem to be a smaller version of a wolverine. Wolverines are just plain mean!

Al Yancovic stole this too? I stole it from Roy Thomas, somewhere around 1968.

I think the UHF reference is a parody of some cop movie line from back in the day, "Badges? we don't need no stinking badges!"

That honey badger video is too funny.

The "badges" line is from that great 1948 Bogart movie, the Treasure of the Sierra Madre. That movie is filled with great lines, but this is the one which has been spoofed so often. (Blazing Saddles, various TV cop shows of the 1970s, etc.) Pick up the DVD or download it sometime - it would make a great rolegaming adventure!

For those that are looking for an expanded index, my monster index is located here

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6141913/Castles ... 0Index.xls

It doesn't have stat blocks tho. There are other monsters out there that haven't been added yet (some modules, 3rd party, etc.)

Case in point: I've never seen the movie, but heard the line in some other movie!

If art has to be redone. redo it. I want as much art in a monster book as possible.

I will also chime in on the index of stats.. Alphabitized is better then by book.
Bad joke or no! We're 'getting her done'

No way in hell my friend! Unless I do up some special copies in our print facility, but we have projects stacked up to the ceiling (about 11 so far me thinks) that are already on a time crunch.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

If we backed at a level high enough to get the other books, module, t-shirt, etc., - do we have to wait until Classic Monsters is printed to get the bundle?

Steve, I see that Classic Monsters has been released in electronic format. I have not received an e-mail with the download link despite pre-ordering at the $25 level back in Nov. of last year. Please check your mail (orders[at]trolllord[dot]com) for my emails regarding this. I have also PM'ed you as well. Sorry for the thread de-rail.

Can one of the Trolls or their representatives direct Steve to this thread so I can get a resolution to my above post? Thanks. I've tried all available means of contacting him except making the long-distance call.

I just realised there is no mention of the monsters from Black Libriam of Nartulus in the back of Classic Monsters.
Are there any other books with lots of monsters also being left out?

The ones from Gods and Monsters are not in there, Haunted Highlands critters aren't, and some later Aihrde creatures that are in the A series (A10 has two new monsters in it). I think that is it. Its a few monsters.

just got the pdf, and it looks good.

A typo leaped off the page at me on p. 19, under Behir, though: the Behir is said to attack 'viscously', when it should be 'viciously'.
