Nicely done, Petey Pablo!

Its an ample enough piece in my opinion.
That said, what is that dwarf's problem? Throwing axes at nice, young ladies that are just standin' around minding their own business! The nerve.

The ladies hands have something forming about them. I'm thinking the dwarf is being pro-active. You know, the best defense is a good offense.

Mr. Bradley, nice work.

When did you get Kenneth Branagh to pose for you?

Heh. Maybe it's just me, but the shedu creature looks like Richard Harris to me, from his role in Gladiator.

I'll have to tell the local gang that their friend Alexander looks like Kenneth Branagh. He'll never live it down.

Am ready to make a pre-order whenever this book is available!

Was hoping maybe I could swing by the Tulsa DefCon in a couple weeks and maybe get reacquainted with Peter "20 Dollar" Bradley if he will be there with a booth and maybe buy a book or two!

Anybody know if guidelines for building keeps, strongholds, and castles will be in there? You know, how many days, how much gold, and so forth it will take to build various sections, walls, towers and such. That would be cool.

Then the other thing I wanted to know was if there would be a section on balancing encounters for appropriate levels; maybe some sort of formula or chart or some such thing to help with knowing how many creatures of what HD would be a challenging encounter for x amount of characters betwen Y and Z levels. So far, I have to guesstimate and use my years of DMing as my guide, but it would be nice to see a concrete guide on this.

any official word about a C&C skill system? we don't care for the siege engine and other skill system add-ons aren't the same unless they're in the CK book.

Why does it need to be codified? It's easy enough to just houserule in whatever you want your system to be.

I guess I'm a little confused on that one. If you add a codifed skills system, do away with the Siege mechanic, and so and so forth...you basically create something akin to 3x D&D. For me, one of the many things that sold me on C&C was the Seige System.

the siege engine works fine for it's intended purpose as an open generic system to resolve tasks, but my players want a more detailed system for skills to be adopted as canon.

the "plug-n-play" aspect has allowed me to try several several different ones (RC, AD&D 2e, and 3e), but to my players they seem "bolted on" rather than canon.

way back when the CK guide was first announced (seems like years ago...oh wait, it has been), an alternative skill system was said to be part of the book. i made the above post to see if that was still true (i know better than to ask when the book will be released).

in short, i made the earlier request at the behest of my players, not for me.

There will be three, optional, versions.

Yep, Initially I wanted to make one big order with PHB, G&M, CKG and M&T, all in their latest incarnation. But seeing how the CKG is being pushed back again and again I think I'll have to wait until the end of the year for that
There is hope here that the CKG will make it before 2010

Hmmm. Be careful of that. There's been more than one CK that was tricked by their players into running 3.0.
Seriously, I've read a few times where a CK added this or that from 3.0 and then the players basically said, "Well we use so much of 3.0, let just go back ... because we players never wanted to leave anyway."

Am I the only pathetic individual on these forums checking Twitter daily for CKG news? It's sad really, I guess. But hey, it makes me happy to see the day to day progress on the CKG, and from the sounds of it, it is right around the corner folks.
