Well, progress is happening. I just emailed Steve a thing, at his request, specifically for the elusive CKG...

Oh, and Steve, I told you I would have time tonight to start that other part... I am doing my damned best to keep it small, but you know how I get when you say "I need something."

I am sorry if this has been asked a million times over.
Is there some kind of estimated release date for this tome of awesomeness?

You are asking a question that falls under several categories, including philisophical. lol. In all seriousness, this thing was aimed at coming out for Troll Con, though Steves latest Tweet says something about a sneak peak of the CKG at Troll Con now, so I don't think it will quite make it. Regardless, the book has begun to go through the editing phase, so I will estimate GenCon time we'll see some softcover tomes, and later the hardcovers.

I'll disagree, I think the CKG warrants hardcover.

Hopefully the Trolls can do both a hard cover and a soft, like they did with the PHB. That way boths camps can be happy.

okay, quick confession
I first bought the softcover and then eventually bought a hardcover as well.
The softcover is the GM copy and the hardcover gets passed around the table.

I did the opposite, my players who didn't have a PHB of their own got the softcover to pass around, while I kept the hard cover for me.

I have a feeling the ol CKG won't be appearing for TrollCon or GenCon, from what I have read here. At the rate Steve has been pounding this out as of late, I would imagine the release date won't be long after these events; let's hope it makes it here by Christmas (Thats all I want, Santa).
As to hardcovers, I have an unreasoning passion for them. Not only do I want a hardcover CKG, but a whole leatherette/gold foil collectors edition of the CKG, PHB,M&T....all in a nice slip case. DAMMIT, ITS GOING TO HAPPEN PEOPLE! STOP MOCKING ME!1111

Remember...in order to join the big CKG hunter's society, you have to bring back proof of its existence from the wilds of Troll Con.
