I'm very much looking forward to running my group through my old 1e modules and have been researching the conversion process by reading posts here and on the Dragonsfoot board.

I understand the process of monster/NPC conversion, but what about treasure? Do you use what's listed in the module or does it require adjusting?

Depending on how I feel, I usually reduce the monetary rewards by about half. Many of the remaining magic items have a C&C equivalent, in which case I simply use the C&C version unless I like the module version better. Of the rest, I will either convert the item, or replace it with something I do want... or, I might just ignore it completely. Again, it really depends on what I'm looking to do. I rarely ever, if ever in fact, use a module as it is written.
