I like that option!

I had no idea YOU were doing the printing. I thought you sent that stuff out and someone did it. So I have the players guide and monster manual and they are hardback. Did you do those? If so what's different from the ckg? AND I'm dying to know why you are doing it and not a professional? Cost cutting? This has me so curious now.

TLG ARE professionals.

From my understanding, they were not getting the service from their binder/printer that they wanted/needed so decided to invest in the equipment themselves and start doing thier own printing/binding. As to the PHB and M&T, they were done out of house.

Well bless their hearts . Having a BFA in printmaking I can imagine book binding is an art form all to itself. I would be curious to know though if they feel in light of what has happen, if it was worth going it alone. Sometimes you just got to shell out the money. I learned that when my father died and had to do house repairs. BTW if you dont know, it's not a good idea to "give it a try" when doing plumbing .

Steve and Mark are still experimenting with the hardcover binding process for the much-anticipated HC CKG. I spoke with Steve on the phone yesterday and they are fine-tuning the procedure and trying different materials for the physical covers as soon as those are delivered.

Thanks for the update BD. The Trolls kick ass and have my confidence 100% that they will turn out excellent books!
I've been very happy with their efforts on perfect bound and softcover books, so I'm sure they will get 'er done and be good to go real soon!!

I know that I'll be happy with option #5 above. Heck, what's a few more weeks among friends, right? As long as I get all three (PH, CKG, M&T) with the same cover scheme I'll be happy.

I haven't ordered yet for multiple reasons -- none of which are related to TLG's challenges in getting the product out in hardback. Personally I would love the option to get the softback as well as the hardback. That way I have a set in both versions and the softbacks are those those that get used in game anyway.
I still need to get the OG&M and M&TA in hardback too. I wish I could have taken advantage of the sale (or the sale go on a bit longer) since I was just not in the position to get them (considering the additional $30 it would have cost me in shipping).

Same here.
Sometimes you just have to jump in hip deep and figure it out. Now, if the Trolls were building pacemakers or something then I'd have my reservations.

Anybody else keep checking in for news? It looks like the test copy of MTA came out perfect, so I would assume the CKG issues are fixed, but no official announcement yet. Hopefully more news later today.

According to a FaceBook post, it looks as if they have the warping under control, but it did not stand up to the DR. Pepper test.

Doesn't that trigger the Necronomicon mimic transformation?
