Differences in Player's Handbooks

Post by scp »

Newbie question: I am new to C&C and only have access to the quick start rules at the moment. I am trying to make a decision on which PH to buy. Is there a list of changes between the following books? Is it just a new printing with new artwork? Both seem to still be available for purchase. Thanks!

80104 is the 4th (and latest) printing. The differences between editions are mostly errata fixes. 4th also has more illusionist spells and a slightly different version of the barbarian, IIRC.

Get the 4th printing! (80104) As Demi said, plus there is an additional appendix in the 4th printing that inlcludes multiple different multi-classing options.

Yeah get the latest green cover print if possible. It also has the class and a half rules and the newest multiclassing stuff that missed the cut in the old prints.

Thanks for the quick responses!

I guess my decision is made. Too bad, though --- it seems like the earlier version had a leatherette version that would be cool to have:
