What are some of the characters you've most enjoyed playing in C&C games? For me, I think my overall favorite character ever was a human fighter, Henrik Ironspear. He was an outcast of sort from what were essentially that world's version of Vikings- he was less interested in pillage and more interested in learning about the world. He had a particular knack for chemistry and pretty early on figured out how to make a primitive gunpowder, which he used to gleeful effect often.
Str 17, Dex 12, Con 15, Int 16, Wis 10, Cha 11, with primes in Strength, Constitution and Intelligence. His favored weapon was a broadsword, though he tended to have so-so 'dice luck' and was usually more useful outside of combat. I've played the guy in a few different adventures over the last few years, in a couple different systems, but honestly, the C&C game works best for handling a character who's essentially a brainy warrior with a near-photographic memory (I had mediocre dice rolls for attack, but I nailed virtually EVERY Intelligence-related check I ever made with the guy).

Strictly C&C? I have to go with Fynn Mac F'yl, a half-elven bard/wizard that I played in Tree's online games that we started up 3-4 years ago. Fynn is retired and living the life in his own city, Fynn Vegos. Another character I enjoyed playing was at this past TrollCon. A half-orc barbarian known affectionately as CLANG!

Barring con games where I used a character I did not create, I have only played two others, the rest of the time being the annoying Castle Keeper of doom and dimwits (and this refers to me, not the players). Anyway... I would say that, despite it being only one game, I liked my orc-cowering double-crossbow-shooting dwarf from Con on the Cob and I really liked my lich-backstabbing halfling from Lake Geneva Con the most. I did not create either but they've both been talked about by my wife and in other places (mostly forums) so I like to think they were memorable.

Sadly I don't get to actually play very often(almost never) because im the Keeper in every game. Twenty years or more I played in a few games and loved my characters from that time.
Ziggy Stardust-Halfling Thief with a 9 str and ended up at 16th level with a 24 dex! Keep in mind I was 8 years old or so when I made him up. At the time I must have heard the name and liked it but I had no clue who that was. I played him off and on my entire life...whenever I can sit in on a game. Ziggy has also scene a ton of action as a npc where he is ALWAYS getting his good natured self (and the party) dragged into one mess or another.
Dark Dimintain- Drow FT/MU/Ro 12th/12th/12th NE. Yes I made him after reading about Do'Urdenpants. Again I was a kid dang it! Dark was all cool and sneaky and just so cool. he even Whispered instead of talked(rolls eyes). He was evil but out to destroy evil.......my kid self felt this was new and inventive and differant! sigh...ol Dark...
Lyone Crownsilver- Human Paladin/Captain friggin America. Really what would happen if you took Cap and stuck him in D&D without his magic shield.....TA DA!! This Paladin kicked arse! I think he had special gauntlets made with brass knuckle type letters put on that read (Law) on on hand and (Order) on the other. I would sometimes just beat up badguys who didnt deserve to die and leave Law and Order bruises all over there heads. Now this guy im sorry to say i didnt make up as a kid but i think a 20 year old. No excuse I guess. Still laugh at that though.
Carthion De'Arth Pendragon The Third(realy just Carth)- Human Fighter. 18 Char! This guy gre up on a pig farm. He was always good and just and strangly proud. He was very well built but very very short. Full grown he was 5 foot tall. He parents were kind to him and when he insisted on hearing tales of knights and nobles they made up tals to make him happy.
Now everything would have ended up fine if one day a carriage hadnt been attacked near his farm and the people onboard had not been killed. As it was Carth found them and after trying to save them discovered that they had been the long lost and hunted prince! Suddenly he somehow latched onto the idea that he was there long lost heir and that they had been coming to find him and that they would overthrow the evil new king. After putting on the ring(and other stuff like armor and swords ect..) and swearing to make his parents proud(the dead ones because the live ones that raised him were all kinds of confused)He set off to make the world a better place and save (his) people!
Needless to say 13 levels later he was King. He then found the real heir to the throne and turned the kingdom over to him because you see he had a dream where the gods spoke to him and commanded him to go east and seek out a people in need who were fighting a Lich and Demon.......He was born to stop this great evil you see......

Thrain Sturlisson, dwarven cleric 4/fighter 4 of Clangeddin Silverbeard that I played in a C&C game set in Greyhawk. He was one tough, resourceful bastard... with a 16 CHA to boot!
One of my favorite moments is when I had him befriend a group of drunken gnoll (buying rounds of drinks and making sure they were well-looked after at a bar in Highport) and proceeded to convince them into slaughtering a band of orcs who frequented the same bar. Of course he waded into the fray with a smile on his face and a song on his lips.

It only being C&C, my favorite character I've played is the one I'm currently playing in our Greyhawk campaign. I play Dern of One Ford, a 7th level fighter. Dern is a simple man, growing up as a young farmer with his widowed father, Dranin. Dern's mother passed away early in his childhood and was also raised by his aunty. Unfortunately, Dern's aunt was presumably killed by Wild Coast slavers. Dern was drafted into the soldiery of the Domain of Greyhawk at the age of 14 where we became a capable soldier. Dern's very low DEX score (6) comes from his time as a Domain soldier. His leg was crushed by an orc who was part of a band of marauding orcs along the southern borders of the Domain. When Dern's injury had forced him to leave the Soldiery, he returned to One Ford. But after years of a soldier's life, Dern could no longer handle being a simple farmer with his father. Dern traveled to the famous City of Hawks -- Greyhawk in hopes to join on as a mercenary. Dern being poor did not have the means to live a good life within Greyhawk. Quickly he was swept up in a war among rival thief factions. There, he was hired on as mercenary help for The Guild. In that time, Dern has become his own man. He currently owns a bathhouse in Clerksburg (with money stolen from a one, Tenser) and gives favorable rates and favors to those who need his expertise, which is actually just as muscle for whomever can afford him. As Dern has lived in Greyhawk, his sense of adventure has been discovered. Currently on the outs with Tenser, Dern and his friends were teleported and left to punishment within the Bright Desert. Now, Dern and his friends must find a way out from their desert prison within in the land of the Sulm!
