Troll Lord Games

TLG is finally shipping out their new hard cover books. There was some discussion in various threads about the new covers. Just this morning my hardcover Of Gods & Monsters and Monsters & Treasures of Aihrde arrived in in the mail.

I'm not sure what all the consternation was about over the shiny covers versus the matte finish covers. I'm here to tell you there should be NO worries! I love these covers. The colors POP great, and they feel solid as hell. Oh man, finally having these books in hardcover is really nice Trolls. Was it worth the wait, you betcha.

PS: Oh yeah, got the softcover BIG version of the CKG in with these books. Yeah, awesome. 'Nuff said.

On my recent sojourn to the illustrious TLG HQ and print shop this weekend, I witnessed first hand the new matte finish. I really, really like it.

Yeah, I'm with Omote on this -- got my Aihrde M&T and Gods & Monsters last Saturday as well. Love the covers, love the feel, and am slowly reading my way through all the internal goodness. Well done, Trolls! Thank you.

Just putting a "thumbs up" out there to the trolls for this decision. I prefer the look of matte covers and the inevitable scratches and wear & tear look more natural on them. Can't wait to get in my CKG order and see it in person.

I definitely have no problem with the Matte look. Plus the difference doesn't really stand out until you put it side by side with an old cover.

It is quite nice.

+1 to all above. Takes me back to the good-old 1/e days (even the early 2/e days, for that matter). Got my HC CKG yesterday. Still trying to process it. Good stuff.

I just got my CKG tonight at TrollCon East, at All Things Fun. I was not here for all of the cover discussion, but I'll put my two cents in: I think they're great.
