The CKG pg 278 in the part on the "Tunnel Vision" advantage refers to it having a side effect of halving a dwarves normal daylight vision to 30'.
So a dwarfs daylight vision is normally only 60'? Did I miss the in the PHB or is it covered in a part of the CKG I haven't read yet?
Or is it just a random floating ruling?

Re: Dwarven Vision in Daylight
page 278 is a play example in the hardback copy of the CKG...the page for it is 267. I don't think it's a float rule. It's more like saying someone is near sighted in a given condition. I know that bright light makes it harder for me to see due to the glare without very dark sunglasses. For a dwarf not used to being on the surface, there is a small degree of logic to it, though as the trolls have been fond of saying...change it to fit your game if it seems too extreme.

Re: Dwarven Vision in Daylight
I read that as THOSE dwarves wiht the tunnel vision have the nearsightedness, but didn't infer anything about regular dwarves.
Now, I havn't re-read carefully or whatnot. But I think say, Hill Dwarves live above ground, so they need normal vision like humans.

I understand why, makes perfect sense to me, I just wondered if it were connected to any other rule tidbit I had missed somewhere.
Thanks.
