So, a while ago, I converted my old 2e FR character, Rigon, to C&C. He's been sitting around in a file for a long time. The other night, I was going through some old folders and came across my other FR character and, for some reason, my buddy's old character, both of whom are a part of Rigon's adventuring band. Couter
• dimension door once per turn
• airy water (creates airy water automatically around the wearer, whenever submerged)
• wearer can see dweomers within 30 feet and distinguish between spell areas of effect, enchanted beings, and permanent magical auras.
Rerebrace
• temporarily raises the status of all weapons wielded by the wearer to the status of +2 magical weapons—+2 on damage and attack rolls, and can be used to hit beings struck only by magical weapons; these bonuses are not cumulative with magical weapon bonuses, (a +1 sword would be raised to +2, but a +2 sword doesn't become +4), but are cumulative with vambrace bonuses, if both are worn together.

When my brother and I resumed gaming with Third Edition, he decided not to bring his old 1e PC back. He wanted to start 3e from scratch.
However, he gave me his original PC's character sheet so I could use him as an NPC in the City of Greyhawk. When we converted the campaign over to C&C, I converted his old PC too. That was a lot of fun to see a 40th level thief from AD&D change from an accountant's dream in 3e back to simplicity with C&C.
When my brother and I resumed gaming with Third Edition, he decided not to bring his old 1e PC back. He wanted to start 3e from scratch.

I hear ya, Z. We played these characters pretty steadily for about 4-5 years to get them to this level. When 3rd edition came out, we converted and in about 1 year, they were all in the high 20s and they became to much to really enjoy, so we stopped playing them. I just have them because of my packrat mentality. Converting each only took about 15-20 minutes, most of which were looking up magic items to make sure I didn't miss anything.
