Conditions
Conditions
Perhaps it's being awake at 2am, but I can't seem to find spell status effect definitions. I know in Pathfinder and D&D 3.5, the various conditions and their effect were in the back of the book. In C&C, many spells still apply these conditions, are they defined in C&C terms somewhere that I missed, in the new CKG (which I recently received but haven't had a chance to read) or left to the GM to decide? Is there any hurdle if I just port over the D&D definitions and effects? Would the Pathfinder ones be better?
Re: Conditions
The only ones given any description are the "situational modifiers" on the table on page 131. Beyond that we get to decide what source to use. So we get blind, cowering, stunned, invisible and concealment.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: Conditions
Most "conditions" are described by the attack that causes them. Stunned = stunning attack of monk. Blind = cause blindness spell. Deaf = cause deafness spell. Etc, etc. Invisible is usually referenced as being positive, but one could logically assume those trying to hit an invisible opponent are "blind" so the same rules could apply.
I don't really think an "index" is really needed, but I am also the kind of person who'll ignore whatever it says anyway because I want to do it another way.

Re: Conditions
I use the ones in the SRD that are not 'obvious' from the PHB.

Just use some common sense when using them in a c&c game.
