Smashing an objet

Post by pbalandier »

Is there some rules, optional rules or house rules about item hardness ?
I can use the DD3.5 rules, but i'm looking for something more easier and intuitive.

Thanks

I use item saving throws, basing "Prime" on the major medium composing the item, and then add bonuses if it is magical. The attack type will also apply its own adjustments. In general, though, I simply decide if something can be broken, how, and how long it takes -- want to cut through the double metal doors to the dwarf fortress? Good luck.
