So, according to the rules (CRB), when a defender is successfully grappled, he is held and cannot act except to escape.
So, what happens now? Questions...
The defender can try to break the hold by making his own grapple roll. OK, I get that, but...
1. Does that mean he now "holds" the original attacker?
2. Or does the grapple just "end"?
3. Or is it his choice?
Also, what about damage while grappling?
4. Can the attacker inflict subdual damage on his turn?
5. Would that just be another grapple roll?
6. And what would the damage be? 1-2 +Str mod?
7. Can the Defender attack back, or is he simply relgated to breaking the hold (and if he can only break the hold, that then leads back to the questions 1-3)?
Thanks Gang!
