Magic Weapon XP Values

Quick rules clarification: The XP value for a magic item stands on its own and is not added to the GP value as well, correct?
That is, when dolling out XP for magic weapons, I need only pay attention to the Experience column, correct?
E.g., a morningstar +1 has an EXP value of 250 XP and not 1250 (1000 GP + 250 XP Value).
Just started pondering this because I give out XP for GP as well.
