Dwarf bonus against orc, goblin, giants etc.

I don't see any bonus under the racial attributes for Dwarfs in the PHB. Also, there is a minor inconsistency about whether giants like eating dwarfs PHB vs. MM ?

In AD&D 1st edition they got a pretty hefty bonus, especially against giants.

Look on page 34 of the 4th Printing, under "Enmity (Goblins/Orcs)" (which grants dwarves a +1 to hit and a -4 on Charisma checks vs these foes) and on page 35, under "Defensive Expertise (Giants/Ogres)" (which give them a +4 to AC vs. these creatures).
