Monsters of the Endless Dark

I tracked down this monster book because it was illustrated by Andy Hopp, but it's really an amazing supplement beyond just the illustrations!
The monsters do a lot of crazy stuff in this book and it's full of awesome fluff. It's from the 'Wanderers Guild' series and you have some great stuff like icons for each monster, telling you if they're carnivorous, herbivores, omnivores, what kind of underground terrain they inhabit, etc.
To repeat myself, these are interesting monsters, very few just hack and slash, they all have really neat tricks that should surprise even veteran players, in my opinion. Plus there's the advantage that the critters you'll find in there are not ones that your players will know so they fully have the surprise element on their side.
It's 3e but not very hard to convert to C&C, imo. With the table of DC to CL and their XP value worked out ahead of time, I think you can use them on the spot.
