Shield of Faith vs. Prot fr Good/Evil

Post by Barrataria »

What am I missing? Why do we need this spell? I guess it allows neutral clerics to get these benefits, but then why can't druids cast it? It also protects from all attacks regardless of alignment, but then it makes Prot fr Good/Evil seem superfluous.

Just wondering.

How about this....they stack. Besides that, if you didn't want them to stack, the Prot. from Evil also protects from physical contact and possession while the Shield of Faith adds to saves as well. So they both do more than just add to AC.

I agree that they are different enough to justify separate write-ups.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael
