Immune to critical hits

I know starting in 3rd edition I think is the first time we started seeing the "immune" or "not subject" to critical hits or sneak attacks rules. Certain undead, oozes, things with no discernable anatomy.

Are there creatures in C&C that use this same guidline? I'm flipping through M&T and I'm not seeing anything under the individual creature descriptions, nor the creature types, that seem to address this. Can oozes and slimes be hit by critical hits? That sort of thing.

The sneak attack or back stab isn't so much a question, that sort of address itself under the rouge (the discernable anatomy rule). It's more the Critical Hits (natural 20) that I'm inquiring about. I'm guessing that C&C really doesn't have that sort of rule.

Anything can be "critted", so to speak, correct? There no creature that is immune to critical hits?

No RAW rules that I'm aware of, though I'll have to skim through my books to be sure. The CKG has several options for critical hits, so it might depend on which you're using. For me, critical hits are just especially good hits that do a bit more damage, so nothing is immune to them. Some of the CKG critical options are more of the "hit in a vital area" type, and then I'd use some common sense - e.g., elementals don't have hearts, zombies won't be bothered by a pierced lung, etc.

End, C&C doesn't have Crits as a core rule. As to Back attacks:

When making a back attack, a rogue must use a close-quarters melee
weapon. This weapon must be shorter than the character’s arm. A
rogue can only back attack living creatures that have a discernible back
anatomy. The rogue must be able to see the target well enough to pick out
a vital spot, and then must be able to reach it.

Better question: How would you grapple an ooze?

I believe you are thinking of puddings rather than jellies.
