Brindisium and "The Old Gods"

Greetings,
I am working on ideas for a series of modules. I have been reading about Kyomar and Brindisium where the two deities left over from the Egyptian mythos were once workshipped. According to the material the rest of the pantheon disappeared long ago. Also, it says that the people of Brindisium worship both household deities and "The Old Gods." I know that Brindisium is very Greek/Roman in flavor. Is there any info about these "old gods" or could one assume they are pre-Kayomar Egyptian deities? Sort of like the Roman legions Mithraism? Are there any info of pre-Kayomar ruins of Egyptian style or small groups of worshippers? I can't wait to see the new Codex of Airde maybe more will be clear.

I noticed you talked about running a campaign out of Brindisium. How did that go?

I set it up and then never ran it. I used Parma "Streets of Silver" as the capitol. I am still using it should my players ever venture that way. I think that any gritty, militarized imperial type flavored supplements will work well. I like your idea of using forgotten Egyptian deities. I would use Toth/Thoth god of knowledge and then maybe sneak in a cult of Set.

When you get around to setting this up or running it or writing it one idea you may want to consider is reading Rick Riourdan's Kane Chronicles they are easy reads as the trilogy is intended for kids but he handles the magic of Egypt very well and you may be able to draw some campaign ideas and minor tweaks to the game for bad guys and the such

You got it dead on, they are pre-Kayomar Egyptian gods.

I love running adventures here, its in the backyard of my favorite forest, the Darkenfold.
