Price of Courage for C&C?

Post by DangerDwarf »

I mentioned possibly converting the Price of Courage module for the Dragonlance Age of Mortals campaign over to C&C for us to finish the campaign. Are there any other Dragonlance fans who have been using C&C for this series?

If so, done any of the conversions for PoC yet? I'm primarily interested in how your Cinder and Frost conversions look.

I'm not converting at all, but to convert PoC would be a worthy undertaking. Is that book [PoC] even out in print form yet?

Well, tonight will be the first session of playing after converting the characters to C&C. I'm curious as to how it will play out.

Also looking forward to seeing how C&C plays out at the high levels through the rest of this.

Most definately!

We've done 2 sessions since converting the characters to C&C and it's been great. Admittedly, all of us are C&C fans and were happy to make the switch back to C&C to finish out this campaign, but wow. It's increased our enjoyment factor tremendously.

The run in with Cinder was intense. My players are still talking about it and how C&C made it flow so much better.

I switched to a modified C&C system around the start of PoC's predecessor, Spectre of Sorrows. My only real concern was with combat, but with slight modification, it worked out just fine.

Unfortunately, the game has come to an end due to schedules.

Yeah, I was concerned with combat and the overall power difference between the two systems but thus far it's working great.

Only hang up I forsee is the Xp progression being most assuredly different.

Thats easy to fix. Do it like you used to way back when.

Prepping for the next game session:

"Hmmm. The next part of the adventure is pretty tough. I think they need to be a level higher."

Next game session:

"OK guys, you've been fighting tough battles, but the battles are going to get tougher. SO I think it is time to reward you for your excellent play and have everyone level up your characters before we begin play tonight."
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
