I thought if someone had a question Peter and I could hopefully answer them about Bluffside during the pre-order stage.
We know people want it in hardback so I thought if I could help by posting here I would!
So this is a ask me anything: Bluffside.

Ok, I've got two questions for you.
1. What is in the upper levels of the Palace of Sem La Vah in your campaign?
2. What exactly is the Obsidian Tower of the Unknown, again, in your campaign?

Well *blush* I do not run games, I play in them so they are a mystery in that sense, and when we did play in and around Bluffside we were never high enough level/important enough to find out but we tried. Part of the charm of working on Bluffside and most of the RPG's we wrote was I came from the view of the player, what would I want to do/play/cast/who would I want to meet etc...that was why so many of our books like Bluffside have so many new player treats like races/classes/items/spells.
I have a few ideas of what could be up there but instead Warren, the creator of the Mage District will answer the Tower of the Unknown question BUT I will send it in a PM to you
Expect it later om tonight.

What does Bluffside add to the overall C&C game, other than just setting material? Does Bluffside expand the C&C rules in any significant way?

Bluffside adds new races, classes, spells and items. Not only is it one large city or 8 small ones, it is a players resource and a great overall resource for any CK to just pull out NPC's or individual places as needed, and each location described in Bluffside has plot hooks so if the players seem interested in a certain place or person you have a instant plot hook to keep them on their toes!
It really is a resource for all types of players and masters rolled into one book.
Hope that answers that question fully.

The city is very original, having a lot of unique elements to it. Which you will find out soon after backing it, with the PDF download.

I just read that PM and it was quite enlightening. The mystery of the tower was one of those things that intrigued me while editing Bluffside. That and the magical replacement of the metal detector.

Just wanted to chime in here. I recently finished reading the Bluffside setting book and am very impressed. Not only is the setting ripe with potential for most any groups interests (although it's biased in favor of groups that don't kill everything on sight), the seeds are all already there. One of the reasons I like using published settings is because it saves me a lot of work on backstory and worldbuilding. This setting takes it to the next level by introducing multitudes (maybe 100s, not sure, didn't count) of deep and interesting NPCs with solid connections to the world, other NPCs, and their hooks, creating an elaborate web of content. Your characters might find an NPC interesting and get involved in their hooks, which will almost inevitably lead to interaction, investigation or even open conflict with other NPCs, organizations and the like. It's the kind of setting you could start a campaign in as a homebase and then never even leave because there's that much to do and see.

That was such a great thing to say, I am going to steal it for our company website tonight.
