Thoughts on encumbrance
Re: Thoughts on encumbrance
Speaking of item ev...is there an official ev listing for potions, spellbooks, and coins?

Not unless it's in the CKG and I don't recall seeing one.tylermo wrote:Speaking of item ev...is there an official ev listing for potions, spellbooks, and coins?

Using the PHB formula, those items are super easy to put value on. Coins are 10 to a pound, dense, etc.tylermo wrote:Speaking of item ev...is there an official ev listing for potions, spellbooks, and coins?

Pretty sure at least one of the printings said how much gold took up one EV. Potions are flasks, not sure about books being covered.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

10 coins = 1EV.
For the book, the EV would be 1 (all dimensions 1' or less). The book doesn't fit the definition of bulky so I didn't assign the x2 bulk modifier.
