Monster bth?

Post by Zardnaar »

Erm I can't seem to find the monster attack bonuses anywhere. I had a look in the castle keepers guide and monsters and treasure but I am kind of stuck. Can a kind soul help me out or am I just blind.

Monster BtH is equal to its hit dice. Read page 4 again, under the Hit Dice entry, and note that dragons only add half their HD as a BtH, as noted in the dragon entry on page 20.

I'm guessing it is to get the Dragons hit points up but without inflating its attack bonus to crazy levels.

Yes, that is basically it. They are tougher than their melee skills would indicate.

Yea, I had one of my players point that out to me as well, and yes, I can roll with it.
