Haunted Highlands Aihrde and Aufstrag

I am reading through the Haunted highlands right now and am interested in starting up an alternative campaign at my FLGS. My goal would be to start in the HH then transition to Aihrde and eventually lead the party to Aufstrag. I have a couple of questions. First, how do people handle the different pantheons between HH and Aihrde. Should I just use all of them, merge them some how or throw some of them out? Also I understand that HH has been made part of Airhde but so far I have not figured out how this was done. I may not have reached that part of the book. Could someone explain to me where the HH is supposed to be on the Aihrde map? Lastly I am considering letting the players select the HH classes from the players handbook to start with. Will this cause much of a power problem when the end up in Aihrde proper and eventually Aufstrag?
Thanks for your help

I don't know about the HH setting/campaign specifically, but I can tell you how I run different religions/patheons in my game world...

It is entirely possible for two different cultures/populations/peoples from different regions of the world (even on the same continent) to have very divergent religions beliefs and practices. It shouldn't be at all difficult to throw two different pantheon systems into your game. Many times two gods with different names in different cultures are actually the same god. It is also often the case that what one culture believes is a single god is actually believed to be two separate gods by the people of a different culture.

I usually run my pantheon relatively fluidly so that I can adjust to player's actions and events in the world, so YMMV.

Since I run in my own homebrew setting, another poster, more knowledgeable about the intersection of HH and Aihrde, will have to address your specific concerns.

Haunted Highlands is supposed to be part of Aihrde, so you should be able to use both pantheons with little issue. Different parts of the world worship different gods. Easy.

There is a short adventure, Stains Upon the Green, that was added as a stretch goal during the Haunted Highlands Kickstarter that provides a link between Haunted Highlands and Aihrde, but honestly, it's not really even needed.

I browsed through the adventure and it basically was just some sort of dwarven teleport ring that allows one to teleport from the Lands of Ursal to the Free City of Eskadia (northwest area of Haunted Highlands).

There is another thread on these forums that describes exactly where Haunted Highlands is located in Aihrde. Here is the map and associated thread:
