I think being able to game from your own home helps with that.
Most definitely. I find that being able to sit at my computer and game very helpful. Especially since I don't know enough gamers to make a table and the closest shop with open game nights is over 25 miles away. Plus with my 3 jobs, I have little time to travel to game.

Also, for the longest time I was strictly a player. Then I got comfortable with the system and wanted to run a game or two. It has helped me become a better CK having other experienced CKs in my game. We have a mini rules discussion almost every session. Nothing to derail the game, but enough for a quick interpretation and the we go to the boards for a full on discussion that usually leads to a long term solution.

I mostly CK, but not because I don't want to play. When we were playing much more regularly, I preferred to GM with the C&C ruleset, while others opted for 3.5/PF or Basic D&D. While I enjoyed playing any games, I was always a little disappointed that in order to use C&C, I had to CK it.
