Home brew with a variety of elements rewritten from anywhere I find inspiration. The current one is drawing on the Nintendo Universe (primarily Mario and Zelda games) and a plethora of Seuss writing.

Aihrde won for me because we've done 2 campaigns there - our original "Bob" campaign (Brotherhood of Botkinburg, the inspiration for Brooke & Roz's "Winds of Fate" book) and a sequel campaign, while we have done 1 campaign in Greyhawk, 1 in my Ilshara, and currently running 1 in FR. Next up is Mystara for us, probably next year.

There is a small continent on a cloud, carried by Ayuda (the Wind), which moves it place to place so it can be accessed from within any other at given times. While exploring Suessia, certain Laws are in effect that change how magic, technology, and even social interactions are ruled.... the idea stolen from TORG and its World Axioms. Whoville is the central city but there are other settlements as well.

I had forgotten all about TORG! Thanks for reminding me.

Over my 30 years of gaming its still Forgotten Realms being number 1 (10 years), with Aihrde now a close second (7 years), and Greyhawk (5 years) a somewhat distant third, with the Wilderlands being in a close 4th place (4 years).

The Grey Realms of Forgottenhawk was a setting I used briefly, but it was very silly. Though I guess that's basically the PHB setting from 3.5.

Done some Mystara myself, but less than a years worth of gaming.
I've also done Ravenloft, close to two years worth with that setting.
Then there is my home brew of Cascandia. Less than a year with it.

I'm a big Greyhawk fan. Been using it since the mid 80s for my games. I know the geography and history of Greyhawk better than I do for most real countries.

I run a home brew game in a home brew setting called the middle kingdoms. If I was to compare the setting to a published set it would be old school grey hawk but quite a bit darker. ex. elves in my setting come from a different dimension or reality and when they opened the fey gates not so long ago they unleashed a cataclysm on the middle kingdoms in the form of strange otherworldly beasts. the human kingdom that was once in that region was completely destroyed and to this day most of the native races of the middle kingdom distrust elves a great deal.

Kim, if you ever run for President, they're bound to ask questions about the geography of Greyhawk. Who needs to know where Libya is??

Incidentally, I largely play in Aihrde (A-series and other mods).

For what it is worth my homebrew is very much inspired by gygaxian thought and Greyhawk.

Currently I am using a homebrew with Yggsburgh as my seed area. I do borrow from published settings as everyone needs ideas.

I don't borrow. I wholesale steal.

Well, my vote had to go to FR, ... it was the setting for the last 2 campaigns I've been in (but they were separated by what, 6 years). Also, I've only been a player in them and not ran a game.
However, if I went back to the days when I ran and played a lot ... it would be home brew, then a close second of FR. Dragon Lance & Ravenloft would be in the mix but not close.

Moderator: Senator Hartsfield, with the recent violence in Libya, what is your position on the United State's stance of isolationism?
Me: I believe we should intercede as the Iron Kingdom is currently making great progress into the See of Medegia and we should help them. Also, Ivid the III seems to have overstepped even his normally nebulous bounds by attacking the Ironfist dwarves of the Blemu Hills. Yes, we should react and react fast.
Moderator: Wha?
Me: Oh, that's The Great Kingdom, not Libya. Nevermind.

I am surprised that the Wilderlands was not even named. I guess we go into the "other" category. Looking at this reminds me how much I want to do a homebrew world but then for so many reasons, shy away from. But I started with homebrew and it was so good. I knew my world and I knew the flavor I wanted it to have. No need to change things or convert or try to stick with canon. It was mine.

Currently been favoring the homebrew for years. Although if you were to look at my history, Forgotten Realms would probably place highest, since I gamed there from D&D 1e to 3e. To my shame, I only got around to running Greyhawk last year.

Well, borrow is a loose term.

Especially if you play a Kender...
