It seems that with the newer products, have come newer options -and I certainly do like to see more and more C&C products being produced.
But that said, there may be two camps of C&C fans slowly being produced through this process.
What dost thou meanith slimykuotoan?
Well, just as when Basic D&D met the sudden release of Advanced D&D, there were those gamers who chose to stay with the old soft cover books, despite the move of many other fans to the newer, hardcover advanced versions of the game which offered newer classes and newer options.
Thus it was that camps of old school gamers and 'new school' gamers formed on opposite sides of the rift.
And I believe... I'm slowly seeing the early beginnings of this effect among my own groups o' gamers.

I assume you mean the difference in those who would use advantages, fate or luck points, from the CKG; or material from Rune Lore and perhaps the Book of Familiars?
Maybe. I think C&C has brought some very diverse gamers together. There ares some old-school rules types who tend to pull from 1e/2e and the some who pull from 3.x/Pathfinder. Then there are those who started here as well. I think as a whole, there is a lot of common ground. I like the diverse ideas on house rules and class ideas. I play in the Wilderlands and it is such a mix of stuff, that anything really fits.
I do see where so strong difference of opinion lines up along old-school-new-school lines but there is so much diversity, it may not matter.

Unless the trolls actually create two different sets of core rules, it won't happen. As an example, AD&D was played differently from group to group (do you remember the AD&D rule book that was like the CKG?) but it didn't split the gamers...
