I didn't need to do the ends, but I globed some glue on there as well for extra strength. For the next book transplant, I'll won't bother with this, in order to achieve a cleaner look.

This paper/wood glue is actually rated for a strength of 3200 PSI before breaking its bond, so there's obviously no need to have overdone it like I did.

Lol, I took the 4th printing interior and placed it in the 5th printing binding, then took the 5th printing interior, and placed it in the 4th printing binding. It was very easy to do actually. I used a swiss army knife to gently separate things, and if I hadn't glued the ends, one would be unable to tell that the two books were not manufactured this way.

Simply brilliant if I do say... :P

Here's the glue I used:

I picked up this other one yesterday and strengthened the bond on my Classic Monsters book. This second one is supposedly as strong as the first, but doesn't have the stench, and seems a tad clearer.

So in your case, "You can't tell a book by its cover!"

Sorry, could not help myself.. so why did you swap, just to have a color cover or to fool the CK as to what printing you're using... repairs I understand, but swap to swap, why?

Side note: Does anyone do the "old paper bag" cover to protect the books? Does CnC sell a slip on cover to protect.. ideal the same picture as the cover?
Wow, Another Natural One! You guys are a sink hole for luck. Stay away from my dice.

I really loved the new 5th printing cover art, but I really dislike coloured interiors. So now I can enjoy a newish product with the black 'n white I need.

Also, I wanted to see if it was doable. In all, it took about 12 minutes to switch things, then I let the glue dry over night.
