Prepping a Planescape C&C Campaign

I am in the middle of prepping a Planescape based campaign for my group and we are using C&C. I got them each a new PHB - did the 5x5 deal for the 6th printing so that everyone at the table would have access to a book.

I am using a slightly modified Tiefling race from the Crusader's Companion, and a slightly modified Wiang from U4: Curse of the Khan. Other than those two only standard races are available.

I'm super excited and am on my way with prepping for the game. And then I thought... I wonder if any of the folks on the forums have done anything Planes related and would like to share how they dealt with any Planes-specific issues that arose, and so...
Anyone else run in the Planes? Have any hiccups or issues that had to be dealt with? Just wondering if there is anything I am not thinking of that might throw a wrench into the works at the worst possible time.

I converted a D&D 4E planer game over to C&C and ran it for several months last summer. I highly recommend using the Astral Sea as described in 4E. It works amazingly well since SpellJammer ships can be easily placed there. My campaign was more SpellJammer than Planescape but had many of the elements of both. I was lucky in that the converted characters all fit within the C&C PH so I didn't need to make up any special rules, adjustments, or adjudications. The main thing for us was using the Astral Sea instead of the Arcane Space on the SpellJammer end of it so we had no phlogiston or outer space stuff. I had the Astral Sea flow around/under/over the great wheel configuration with plenty of color pools and astral strands to speed up travel.

Someone did do a Planescape adaptation a while ago, but I don't remember who or if they posted anything about it.
