I am creating my own setting named Lerchanth to game in.

That is my Cartography page, and all the maps I am making for Lerchanth.
All maps are free, I am still creating this world, so a lot needs to be mapped out.
Have a look and give me your thoughts please.
Thanks

I use CC3, by ProFantasy. The animated gifs are Fractal Terrains, again by ProFantasy.

Some great maps there. I really like how Uulig-Tor looks. makes me want to go there.
Look forward to reading more about your setting.

Thanks, I am working on some PDF's to go with the world, and sections to briefly describe the area. There will be little detail so anyone that uses my maps can make things up as they go.

Nice, I've played around with CC3. I like it but when I try and map something I tend to make be to focused to make a good world map. I have nugged out some decent maps for areas about the size of the island of England. But anything bigget than that gets way to cluttered.
DO you have any tricks to make a good world map (except for the obvious 'don't clutter it, KISS')
By the way, what style did you use?

The style is 13th age.
KISS - Definitely. What I do is look at other peoples works, and then do my thing with it.
Have a look at the cartographers guild
http://www.cartographersguild.com/content.php
They have tons of examples to look at. But the axim is this, when looking at the world as a single map, you will not see any details, just general stuff, then as you drill in, more and more detail become clear.
I would love to see some of your work.
I started off by doing some simple deck plans, single deck space ships, then progressed to the USS Enterprise NCC 1701, Cptn Kirks ship, I have the first 5 decks complete.
Then I watched Joe Sweeney's You Tube videos and went from there, btw, If you don't get any of the Anualls, you should! They help ALOT!

Look at this map, no details...
EDIT, all you see is desert, tree areas, plains, and lots of ocean... KISS.
