Rigon,

The Trolls are prepping their next major Kickstarter: a mythos triology: Germania, Slavorum and Classicus. This is going to be a massive undertaking, but bring all three to the fore far quicker.

What will it specifically be? Is it going to be an OG&M style book, or more in line with the Celtic and Norse setting books, or something else?

I hope they stay in line with PH and DnD of old (deities and demigods), the Celtic and Norse books seemed too far off for much direct use (to me).

So I hope they stay in line. I also do not like Avatar deities showing up. If Thor shows up, he's there, death is death to him. PCs should not really be able to challenge Thor.. if they can either you're PCs are out of whack or you God write up is too small.

So, this is the Kickstarter for the next 3 Codex in Brian Young's Codex series? If so, cool. If it is something more like C&C's OG&M or AD&D's Legends and Lore, then cool with that too.

I just didn't see any information to go with the counter.

Yes, with a little bit of Rome in there also (from what Brian has said).

Still don't like the names, but that's fine. Contents matter more... usually.

Yeah guys, a quick note on them all:

Codex Germania - Myths, histories, etc from the Continental Germans (Saxons, Goths, Vandals, and more),
Codex Slavorum - The same for the Slavic world, and there is so much in this book to use it is staggering,
Codex Classicum - Encompasses the Hellenic, Hellenistic, Etruscan and Roman worlds all in one book!

This will be epic and complete the European set (and be in line with the previous Codex Celtarum and Codex Nordica). Soon, we begin on the next part of the world...

When does this kick starter start or are we already past the "early bird specials"? Sorry, I've been in Ireland with spotting info and poisoned brain cells for the past two weeks...

Everything starts on Monday for sure! As for 'early bird' specials, I have no idea about those details at all. Each Codex includes lots of cultural extras and new classes and monsters galore (to use a Gaelic expression). All will be revealed tomorrow and thereabouts, so no worries, it will be epic. These will complete the set that my first two codices started and make way for the next in the series (Asia, the Americas, Fertile Crescent, Egypt).

Mythological level gaming is now possible in a way never had before, and it only gets better from here as each book breaks new ground in gaming, achieving something new. There are character classes never heard of, or imagined, or several wanted but officially never written until now. Each Codex has made it possible. It is High Level to some degree, or advanced role-playing, requiring 'role' playing, not roll-playing! Just like in the ancient tales and sagas, now the gaming table can be a place where such tales can be told. My games are this way, and have been for almost thirty years, and it is the ONLY way we game.
