I've tried looking but haven't had a whole lot of luck.
Can someone give me a rundown on the differences between Mythical Companions and The Book of Familiars? Are there any? I only own the latter, but I was trying to discern if there are any differences with Mythical Companions or if it was just a name change.
Thanks!

I wondered the same thing so I asked Tim. Here is his response:
Assuming you mean the C&C Mystical Companions, the Mystical Companions book is a revised, cleaned-up edition of the original Book of Familiars. It doesn't have any changes; the layout is cleaned up, it's in color, and all of the d20 3.x anachronisms have been removed. In addition, the experience costs for performing summoning rituals have been removed, and there is a new appendix for dragon riders.

Sorry...yeah, I did mean Mystical Companions. Sounds like it might be worth a purchase, but I think I'm going to put this down the priority list some. Thanks!Snoring Rock wrote:I wondered the same thing so I asked Tim. Here is his response:

I've thought about getting this from time to time, but it is a low priority for me too.

Especially since I've got BoF. I'll certainly fill out the Codex series before picking this up, is my thinking.Rigon wrote:I've thought about getting this from time to time, but it is a low priority for me too.
