If you mean the point of saying that "no matter the dressing, that the lettuce base makes the salad" applies as long as the biblical Jesus is the base of faith, then I agree with you. I loved that analogy in that book.

EDIT: I hope I worded my thoughts in a comprehensive manner.

Exactly! One of my other favorites in there is about not totally discounting non-Christian religions, and describing it as a math problem: There is an equation and the answer is Ten. Christianity is Ten and therefore wholly correct, but Buddhism has many points which are compatible with Christianity, thus making it a Nine. It's close, but no Ten. That's not to say that I believe that non-Christians "go to hell" or any of that stuff and was in fact the point to Lewis was trying to make. And yes, Zudrak, you were totally clear and I never thought that you were engaging in a hostile exchange. I save those for Peter.

I've been hostiled by experts, yet I've maintained my gentle disposition throughout.

I believe, but I am more in line with Judaism, but I am by no means jewish.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

At the church I used to attend, in high school, the girls were hotties, and desperate.... its like the guys they knew didn't want to go out with them for fear of sinning or something, so they were in need of some male affection. Church rocks. ;)

I think the religious opposition is largely an American thing. I've known gamers here in Australia whose Christian parents grumbled a bit, but I haven't seen any organised opposition to gaming. They're too busy fretting about Harry Potter.

It seems that even the "hopeless geek" label is fading, possibly due to the decline in RPG popularity, the rise in MMORPGing, and the overall explosion in fantasy/sci-fi entertainment.

I read somewhere recently...
