Question about players handbook condensed (pdf).
Hello, I'm new here and have a couple questions. I am looking to download the players handbook in pdf format. It says that it is the condensed version. What (if any) is the difference between the book and the condensed pdf? Also , If I get the pdf version will I be able to re-print the content and put it into a binder for ease of use? Sorry for the stupid questions guys.
Thanks in advance!

I've been wondering the same thing!
I found the answer:
Note: This product is derived from print published versions of the Players Handbook 2nd Printing and Monsters & Treasure.
* 6 classes (13 in the full version)
* 5 races (7 in the full version)
* Spells
* Equipment
* all the rules you need to get started
* over 20 monsters

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

You should be allowed to print a copy to put in a binder for your personal use. I'm pretty sure that most pdf publishers assume that the consumer will do that. I know I do-- that is why I actually include a "print friendly" version of the PDF to save the consumer ink when they do print it.
Now, if you print a copy for everyone in your group, that gets dicey, and if you print 20 copies and start selling them at GenCon for 3 bucks apiece, you're asking for trouble-- but I don't think this is what you had in mind!
[PS- I'm not a troll, so this answer is just my opinion-- you'd have to get the official ok from them]

You can, of course, print out a copy of the pdf you bought. You can print it out for yourself as often as you want, but when it comes to handing it to others... that might have sticky issues, legal-wise, but I wouldn't know, nor can I tell you what can, and cannot be done with it else-wise. The point of the condensed pdf is to get exposure, though, and its not too expensive.

PB did say that a full .pdf version of the PHB was a possabilty, but gave no time frame or even a hint of that would ever happen. I would wager to say that even PB doesn't know what the minds of the Toll Dudes are thinking regarding this.

*chuckles* I do, actually. I think its currently a safe bet that the PHB itself will not be offered as a pdf.
Might as well be giving the book away at that point cause there will be endless copies of the e-book being distributed for free. Even if its just one dishonest person, the book ends up out there.
Don't care much for PDF's myself for the above reasoning. ^_^

M' bad. But at least it's a good piece of information to know.
Personally, I can't stand electronic copies of books anyways... but that's just my aversion ot technology and love of books shinning through.
Thx for the spot of info. Good to know. Good to know.

I think you'll like the 'shine' on our latest PHB printing. The cover came out amazingly well and pretty much spot on with what I intended. I was a mite nervous but the frayed tatters of my sanity got much relief when I opened the box(es) containing the C&C PHB 3rd printing on friday.

Toe and I work together. The reason he was asking was that we are having a guys night this Friday night and are wanting desparately to roll up some C&C !!! I placed a phone order on Mon or Tuesday last week. He was going to purchase the pdf in case my book hasn't arrived by this Fri.
Have you guys already put them in the mail? I so hope we get it before Fri. Otherwise we will be rolling Basic Fantasy for this Friday's event.
