Winona's Got A Big Brown...

Post by Dangersaurus »

Couldn't resist... what a silly monster!

BEAVER, GIANT

NO. ENCOUNTERED: 10-40

SIZE: Medium

HD: 4 (d8)

MOVE: 20 ft., 30 ft. (swim)

AC: 14

ATTACKS: Bite (4d4)

SPECIAL: None

SAVES: P

INT: Low to average

ALIGNMENT: Neutral

TYPE: Animal

TREASURE: 3

XP: 40+4

Giant beavers are intelligent but peaceful. They will flee from aggressors if possible, but if their kits, dams or lodges are threatened the beavers will rally to defend them. Beavers can summon help by slapping their tails on water.

Beaver lodges can be as big as a human stronghold, with 5' thick walls. For every adult giant beaver there will be one young.

Giant beavers have been known to trade, exchanging choice woods like willow, birch and aspen or shiny coins and gems for their services constructing dams and the like.

Their hides are worth 5d4x100 gp.

Hopefully they'll snicker quietly behind their parents' backs and we can forget this ever happened.

The beaver is missing something: Snatch -- anytime a giant beaver grabs hold of an object, be it an appendage such as an arm or leg, or even the wood used to build their dams, it does not let go. The pressure exuded by the beaver is quite strong, preventing all but forceful attempts from disengaging. This ability causes the beaver to be allowed to make a tail slap against whatever is being clung to, if it desires, at a +3 bonus, inflicting 1d4 damage. To withdraw, a creature must have a Strength equivalent of 16 or higher, and still succeed at a save vs. paralysis.

Yeah, that's it.

OMGosh!!!

I've just stopped laughing after several minutes. Eyes tearing, face red.

Hehe, "the serleman can . . cause he mixes it with love and makes the world taste good" (to the tune of Sammy/The Candy Man) make an excellent joke that is.

Let's hope Peter doesn't find this thread. Still friggin' LMAO.

Great monster.

Again another vote for a great movie. Thanks for bringing it up people, now I have to schedule it in this week.

I almost hate to list it as one of my favorite movies. Because any time I mention it, I get that "Did he just say what I thought he said" looks.
Bullet tooth tony: And the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five O".. Written down the side of mine...

Man, did that movie have some great lines.
