C&C excitement!
Having done quite a bit of research and haunting of this and the Dragonfoot forums, I decided to purchase the game. I was excited at the idea of a simple rules set for my D&D gaming. I looked over books and debated whether or not to write up my own setting or work within an established one.
I finally decided on running the big 3 supermodules for AD&D: ToEE, Slavelords, and Queen of the Spiders. But I needed to discover if my group (mostly weaned on TETSNBN-did I use that right?) would be comfortable with this slightly new way of gaming, so I ran a sample session as a break from our other DMs RttToEE campaign.
It was luke-warmly received. But the DM was willing to have C&C as a break for himself between weeks of running his game. Now were alternating weeks and I have just run my first true session of ToEE.
The session was relatively short (about 4 hours), but was filled with advancement. The group arrived in Hommlet, interacted with people in the town, trekked to the moathouse and had two battles, went back to town and interacted some more.
I have to say that more happened in the short term of play than in the times Ive run that other game. It was fun on my side of the screen and from reactions after the session, the players enjoyed it too! Im pretty well sold on the system and will definitely continue to use it for my fantasy gaming.

Fantastic. I'd love to be a player. Sounds like everyone had a blast.
Welcome!
Enjoy the game!!!

Thanks everyone! C&C really has me excited about running games again. I quit running D&D nearly a year ago and have merely been playing. But I have the DMing (or CKing) bug in me and I had to give in.
My players actually missed the spider! One guy looked into the tower, saw nothing and went straight to the broken doors. Maybe later...
