Variant armour AC rule.

Post by gideon_thorne »

Now, this is something that I hear people complain about endlessly when discoursing on the 'chick in chainmail'. Towit the impracticality of the armor depicted.

I came up with a solution.

Any female of any race is able to add their charisma score as an bonus to their AC when wearing a chain mail bikini. This is for the initial opening contact/encounter only. This bonus crosses interracial lines for one reason. The sheer stunned pause such a get up occasions is just enough for the female so costumed to get in a clear first strike while dodging ineffective blows from the opposition.

I would only add that the chick in chainmail is treated as if under the effects of a Sanctuary spell until she takes a hostile action.

Just get FATAL-like...

Charisma / 3 (round up) + Breast size / 6 (round up) + 1 / cup size = AC bonus in chain mail.

So, if you have an 18 Cha, 36C, you're at 6 + 6 + 3 = 15 +5 for armor = 20. Obviously, most women should have larger breasts.

Well yeah, that's easy.

But some may require a visual guide. Can you please provide same.

[Not for me of course, cause I prefer equations ~ yeah right!! ]

This reminds me of the Amazon kit from AD&D2e Fighter's Handbook...

I see a problem with Serl's calculations though.

1st, I believe the CHA is likely more a 14. As for the other numbers, it is hard to tell through a single picture and request a hands on session to verify your numbers.

I've always been partial to Elmore's Chainmail Spandex per the Cleric killed by Bargle in the Basic D&D Solo Adventure, where you play "Fighter".

Yup. Aleena. A classic inspirational image from my misspent youth.

Y'all have some seriously warped senses of humor... This is perhaps the best thread around here in a while.

I'd also like to thank gideon_throne for OPing this thread and then Serleran for posting that picture... All of this lead to many people at my job wondering what I was looking at on the internet.

Thanks guys. I mean, no really... thanks.

Tell us more.

Me, I never woke up there. uhh I mean I've never been there.

[Flashback, I remember one time waking up inside a VW wearing nothing on top but a bra and the girl next to me had her top on, but was wearing my underwear! I'm sure she must have been a sorcerer! D&D lives . . . in the modern world!

Should this really be limited to chainmail? Chicks in leather can be kindof... um, distracting as well.

Plus, when I talked to my wife about this thread she asked what kind of bonuses would a Storm Giant woman in a Bikini set of armor would get?

As Oscar Wilde said, we are all in the gutter, but some of us are gazing up at the stars.
