A Witch! A Witch!

Quick question (inspired by some recent posts ): Anyone know where I can find a good Witch class for C&C, or which I could convert to C&C? (Or, probably, I should say "some good Witch classes, as there are so many interpretations thereof...)

Would you like me to send you the Wilderlands C&C conversion I have been e-mailing everyone? Want the Amazon while I am at it? I actually have their file location memorized now.

If so PM me the e-mail you want me to send it to.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The conversion is pretty nice... though I'd amend the pact to include fey or other various deities of any alignment.

Another favorite of mine is the treatment given in the Witches source book from the Role Aids series put out by Mayfair Games. One aspect I liked from this book is that it had a chance of failure and how great or low a chance partially determined by a Charisma score.

What I've been thinking of doing is combining the two. Take most of the features shown in the C&C conversion, but make a Siege check for 1st level spells and above. Since this is a pretty big detriment, I'd lower the EPP to be more like a Fighter's or Ranger's (level 2 requirement being between 2000 and 2250 and so on).

Anyways, if you do such a write up be sure to share it.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I do... I'll be more than happy to share it once I get around doing it. Might even be sooner rather than later since it might give me a break from the chores related to moving.

-- Already done: get a look at the "Colin Sez" netbook, available for free at dragonsfoot.org, it has a C&C witch class.

-- Conversion: try to find the "Liber Mysterium" aka "The Netbook of Witches" on the internet, which is all about d20 witches.

Which witch you should use depends on which witch's powers are most suited for the campaign which you'll be running, how many witches in the party, and which non-witch classes are being allowed, not to mention which kinds of sandwiches you're serving.

LOL! It reminds me of elemental mages in Al Qadim. It was not Air/Earth/Fire/Water, but Flame/Sand/Sea/Wind. Hence we would indeed have:

-- Air: wind-witch
-- Earth: sand-witch

-- Fire: flame-witch

-- Water: sea-witch

I like the witch from Colin Sez.

Witches are made of wood, so they should suffer extra damage from fire, but might receive some bonus when swimming because of weighing the same as a duck.
