Stoneskin?

Post by Treebore »

The ring of Earth Elemental gives Stoneskin once per week, yet I can't find a spell of that name in the books, nor did I see one that looked to be the spell under a different name.

Am I blind or is the spell not in the books?

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I guess it got left out?

This is what the stone skin spell does: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/stoneskin.htm

But I suppose one could always use Barkskin which is in the PHB?

Yeah, thats what I am thinking. Stoneskin is much more powerful, in my opinion, than Barkskin. So I'll just house rule in a C&Cized version of the 3E spell. Which will probably be more in line with the 2E version.

Thanks.

I prefer the 1e version. Stoneskin protects you from ONE physical attack completely.
