How easy is it to convert 3.5 D&D Monsters and treasures (i.e. magic items) to C&C?
I am new to the game so I am curious. Though I don't want to play D&D anymore (if I want that much number crunching - I'll go back to Rolemaster...) but I have lots of the books - so I want to know if anyone has converted monsters and magic items and if so - would they be willing to share any tips?
Thanks!!

Let me just point you to another thread:
Conversion
As for magic items... there isn't much needed. Weapons that do +X to hit and damage are the same (of course, I would not allow Epic-level magic items [that's the things that go from +6 - +whatever insane number you want]).
If the item does some sort of spell effect, it does the same thing in C&C; if the spell doesn't exist in C&C, just use the spell effect or convert the spell (its the same thing, actually, but if you don't have the spell converted then you can keep players from getting it, making the item that much more "special.")
If the item does something else, like grant a feat or something... then just let the character do that. For example, if you have a weapon that grants Cleave, than when the character kills something, he gets to use the Fighter's Combat Dominance ability.
Basically, magic items just do exactly what they do. You don't have to change very much, if anything. Major component, though, is level of creation, since 3.X assumes items can be started at 1st level. No big deal, really, since in C&C, you can make the "creator level" whatever you want, and retain that as well.
Oh, and I've done thousands of monster conversions and item conversions... its really not that hard. I think people over-think the process.

Here are some excellent guidelines for conversion of 3.X, as well as older versions of D&D by our very own BASHMAN.
