I know this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find the thread.
I am starting a small 3 or 4 session arc in a C&C campaign, but the new characters are going to start out at 0-level. I wasn't fully happy with the rules that I came up with and was wondering if anybody had taken the time to come up with, or play test some 0-level C&C rules.

Any thoughts and help would be greatly apprecated.

Here's something I did some time back, basing it on some suggestions Serleran had made (linked to in the thread).

Hope this helps.

Godman DCC classics has a good 0 level adventure.

"Legends are made, not born"
To defend: This is the Pact.
But when life loses its value,
and is taken for naught -
then the Pact is to Avenge.

I was working on 0-level NPCs for my modified C&C game. Actually I was working on 1st level commoner NPCs and decided on making 3 categories of NPCs:

1] Sedentary NPCs: BtH Progression as per Wizards, d4 Hit Points, proficient with club, dagger, dart and quarterstaff. Examples: Sages, scribes, clerks.

2] Active NPCs: BtH Progression as per Rogues, d6 Hit Points, proficient with club, dagger, dart, quarterstaff and 1 other weapon. Examples: Actors, couriers, maids, teamsters.

3] Vigorous NPCs: BtH Progression as per Rogues, d8 Hit Points, proficient with club, dagger, dart, quarterstaff and 2 other weapons. Examples: Farmers, porters, oarsmen.
I have existed from the morning of the world and I shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although I have taken the form of Gaius Caligula, I am all men as I am no man and therefore I am... a god.

0-Level for C&C:

Primes as normal 1st level.

HP 1d8 (actually rolled)

No class abilities.

One armor and up to two weapon proficiencies (if available by class).

2+spellcasting attribute bonus (Int or Wis) level 0 spells.

All this is added to abilities and HD gained at level 1.

(Yeah, this makes a tougher level 1, but that's whats for)
