Anyone know the cost of henchmen in terms of their pay and their employers that they work for, for X number of days? If there is something in a d20 doc, preferable 3 or 3.5 that someone knows, let me know, been sifting thru books and cant seem to find it anywhere.

Cool little PDF. The only 3E book (of WOTC's) that I remember having info like that in it was the 3E Stronghold Builders book. Not positive though.

The only thing I know of is the DMG with the Efreeti on the front. I think its 1st edition. P.34-37.

Another place to find simple hireling info is B2: Keep on the Borderlands. If you want to hire specialists (sages, alchemists, etc.), check the Expert D&D book (Cook or Mentzer).

I went thru the Stronghold Builder handbook that I own, now much in that. I'll check out the book that BloodAxe suggested. I dont own the Borderlands stuff, so if the DMG is no good, I'll go with the pdf I found. Thanks all.

Along these lines, if you have the Rules Cyclopedia you can find the same information in there.
EDIT: I also found this table in the d20srd. You may have already seen it.

This is currently the book we are using for our games for hirelings and such. Works just fine.

The guars we hired would not be Henchmen- but instead Hirelings and the best info on this would be in the Old 1st edition DMG---
I am luck to have copy of it - Ill try to scan in the pertiant sections for you
if you'd like me to.
LA has a good system for it
as well

Henchmen is a term used to denote personal retainers and loyal followers like a Cohort from d20

You might want to check out the revised OSRIC document when it becomes available or take a look at what's being discussed over at Knights & Knaves with regards to implementing rules for Henchmen and Hirelings.
OSRIC Hirelings and Henchmen
Recruiting, Organising and Leading Men at Arms
Mercenary Leaders
Spear Carriers for Hire?

No problem.
Yeah, I don't really follow the football much, but my dad loves it. I think the fact they have brought Keegan back speaks volumes about their current problems and expectations. Still, hopefully they will keep their heads above water until the end of the season, these downturns are periodic.
