I believe it is the map of the "default setting:" Aihrde. I don't think the world map is available for purchase.

Serleran's correct about the first part, but not about the second.

The map comes in the Winter Dark Folio.

Ah, yes. There is that. I was thinking sold separately, like the Erde map was once upon a past.

It is available as a pdf separately, I think (if I'm thinking of the right thing):
C&C - Aihrde Area Map West ($1.00)
C&C - Aihrde Area Map East ($1.00)

Well, damnit, if I knew all the pdf products. That's cool, though.

Nah, that one's not detailed enough to be representative of this sort of thing is it?

Well, thats not a world map. That was a section of Outremere done by a chap named Clayton Bunce years ago. Since Clayton is no longer working in the gaming industry, due to various long and complex, and completely non relevant to the thread reasons, I fixed up a new map to use as backdrop art.

The third printing PHB and M&T and pretty much all the modules after those two came out.

All the covers will eventually be updated with the new backdrop in future printings.

Right... I don't really follow the publication dates. I'm assuming yours are the generally darker coloured ones. What about the Haunted Highlands stuff? Is that yours or is that Bunce's work as well?

I have a stack of C&C modules here (A1-4, I1-3, DB1-3); looks like I mainly have your version, with the exception of A2. I also have a Player Character reference Sheets with the earlier layout. I have to admit, I had thought the lighter coloured version was the 'newer' one. You learn something new every day.

Casey's Haunted Highlands map is one of mine as well. The CZ products also get their own map backdrop relevant to the setting.

Right you are; yeah, I knew the Castle Zagyg ones were yours. Well, all good stuff at any rate!

Now we just have to wait to find out which covers Alarick was thinking of...
You know, all the black and white pdfs are still using the old map (as is the colour Return to Blacktooth Ridge).
