What are the Races in Your Game

Like the title says, what are your C&C races for your campaign?

Have you converted something from another product?

What are your changes to the "standard" races?

I love having serveral choices to offer my players as characters & me as npcs to interact w/the players (its fun to have something that looks like a hunched-back scorpion shouting "GLORY TO BANE!"
Currently I'm working on two bug inspired races; the Nhandu (a medium sized spider w/a love of art {these are pretty much adapted from Silverthorne Games Dalnoy}) & a as yet to be named scorpion race (who are lovers of both arcane & divine magic).

Also in the works is a race based on a model from Ral-Partha(from way back in the '80s) called a saurian; it looks like a barely large sized t-rex or allosaurus w/usable arms & hands (the model is wielding a scimitar)

I will probably have a a feline race (like the Rahkasa(sp) from the Isle of Dread & Expert D&D set from "back in the day) & a wolf like one (like the Lupin----anyone remember what dragon the Rakasta(sp) & Lupin are in?).

Half-Ogres will make an appearance---Half orcs are there as well, though, somewhat different as orcs' (In My World; IMW dor future refernce) physical characteristics are based on several animals (they could have a cats muzzle, reptillian eyes, ram horns, hooves for feet, tails, etc...the chieftans would have physical attacks that can use like gore, bite, claw, etc...

I also have a few "subraces" of the standard group.

I find alot of the fun is involved in making the cultures of the races from goverment set-up to what forms their money takes
Please share yours!

Thanks!

I also posted this @ ENWorld trying to get as much info as i can [I/]

Added tiefling and aaracockra, but just to say so, because my games favor humans, with all other races remaining rare. I mean, other races are there mostly to make NPCs.

Nothing weird for me; just dwarves, elves, hobbits, and humans.

Same for me. I run in Karameikos, so I prefer to avoid half-elf and half-orc as PC options (just to be in keeping with the old B/X feel). Gnomes are there (Highforge) but I prefer them as an NPC race too.

I have cut out half-orcs, elves (as written), and halflings from my home-brew, which I have just started to think through. Essentially, I'm using races (among other things) to reflect a different kind of fantasy world, which is really only half-baked right now; if I ever do get it into a readable form I may post it up here.

Instead I use half-hobgoblins (sil-karg) from Kalamar--haven't figured out the stats yet. I'm also going to ditch C&C gnomes as written and do a 3.x gnome conversion. I'm going to re-do elves and call them something else.

PHB lists, and, if someone really, really, truly wants something bizarre, then I'll consider creating it. I've done ogre, lizardman, goblin, satyr, and some others, but I prefer to just use the PHB lists, and modify them (like making it more "Classic.")

Nothing out of the ordinary here either. I'm not sure what it is, but I love playing in what many consider the "standard fantasy world" populated by the standard fantasy races.
