Druid Weapons List

Post by moriarty777 »

Just checking out the list of weapons allowable for the druid and one entry is listed simply as 'Sword'.

Would anyone know what kind of sword specifically this might be?

I don't think it would be all of them... especially considering they mention 'scimitar' in the list as well.

Any thoughts would *really* be appreciated.

Thanks,

I seem to remember a board discussion about this where they put that in there because it never made sense that they could use scimitars and not other swords. So yes, it means swords. Whatever the CK/Dm rules is appropriate for their campaign. Assuming I am remembering the thread discussion correctly.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Well allright... it did seem odd but I figure that the short sword is a safe bet as it's in the same damage category as well. I'm also giving them knives which is oddly not on the list (I think everybody can pretty much use a knife.. especially if they can use a dagger).

Thanks!

It probably has nothing to do with this, but the Scimitar is the weapon of choice of Mieilliki, godess of Nature (and most Druids) in FR.. I don't know... perhaps it's connected.....

I think the scimitar thing is all the way from 1E. Again, going on memory here, so independent verification is a good idea.
