I'm sure someone has (actually I know it has been done.) It cannot, and will not, ever be officially converted. I would ask that no one post the conversion, either, as it is a direct violation.

Is there really a need for a conversion, when it's so easy to use the AD&D version, having only to convert the AC?

My thought exactly. Conversions are so easy, if you have original 1E or 2E monsters, you can use them on the fly as long as you understand the SIEGE system.

I am assuming the "Prysmal Eye" doesn't qualify as a conversion, Then?

I don't consider the PE a conversion; I would maybe think of it as a redesign, in a way, but not a conversion.
