Confused about some entries in weapon chart

I am sitting here reading the Equipment chart on page 41 (PHB 3rd edition) and only the Mace, large has the superscript 7 (double damage while on a charging mount).

Shouldn't the 2 lances also have this ability and what does the ** next to the damage in both lances entries mean?

Looks like an editing error. You might be interested in this thread and the 3rd printing errata.
