I like this except for the turn undead. I would change that to more of a slay undead type ability or an extra damage against undead. Of course my concept of the Witch Hunter is not a divine one. But a secular being who specializes in hunting evil and undead.

The WH gets the damgae bonus as part of Create Blessed Object...and he is essentially secular. The turn undead is simply knowing what repels the cursed things...(priest with a cross, werewolf hunter wtih silver or wolvesbane, Benny with his neckale of many holy symbols...oh wait. That didn't turn out well for him...) *LOL*

Updated this and made a couple changes. Works a lot better I think.

Got rid of sense magic, recognize evil, and create blessed object. (too gimicky really)

Replaced blessed object with Righteous Fury...

Not bad. I may give this a test drive soon.

This looks really cool!

I like the distinction between WH and Palandin and Cleric. I think it totally works.

I would not play this class with d6 HD. D6 are for rogues, who are not supposed to fight in melee; asassins are not supposed to assassinate undead and supernatural creatures too.

So my suggestions would be:

Option 1 -> give them d10 HD.

Option 2 -> keep d6 HD, but turn the witch-hunter into a roguish class; that is: cleric BtH, and add some assassin abilities to the ones you gave the class.

It is a bit of a roguish class...along the lines of a PI in my mind. Though I was toying wtih a d8 HD but rolled it back since this class spends much time in study and research.

and I don't see the d6 HD as exclusive to rogues.

I was reviewing this in more detail and at first thought going to d8, but w/ the special abilities and such, I think the d6 fits the concept better.

I was thinking of replaceing Turn undead with a flat +2 vs. undead attacks and effects, parhaps calling it 'resist undead' but that's just me.

Turn undead is now Evil's Bane...an increase to defense and resistances.

Leaving it d6 HD

Evil's Bane looks good.

I think it's better to have turning stay with clerics.

This is a sweet class.
