Pegasus Mount for Paladin

A paladin in my campaign is after a pegasus mount. What level would you suggest he would get this mount at, if we assume he gets it at a higher level than the regular mount?

10th+. A flying, intelligent mount is something for high-level play.

I'd say around two or three levels later. It can fly, but it doesn't have too much else over a heavy warhorse. I suppose it depends on how valuable you think the ability to fly is.

EDIT: I didn't realize that a pegasus is also intelligent. Level 10+ it is!

Flight is one of those abilities that makes everything easier. I'm with serl 10+ is a good spot.
